Privacy Policy — Training Trends

Training Trends ("the app"; listed on Google Play as Busy Days: Training Trends) is a mobile application for logging workouts, reviewing your training history, and seeing how your training is trending. On Android, you can optionally import exercise sessions from Health Connect. This privacy policy explains how the app handles your information.
Summary
No account required. You can use the app without creating an account or signing in.
Data stays on your device. Your workout history and settings are stored only on your phone or tablet. We do not back them up to the cloud from within the app, and we do not collect, store, or process this data on our servers.
No advertising. The app does not show ads and does not use your data for advertising purposes.
No selling of data. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Data stored on your device
The app stores the following information locally on your device:
Workouts — Activity type, start time, duration, distance, notes, and a 1–5 star rating. Each session is marked as logged manually or imported from Health Connect. Imported sessions may include a Health Connect reference id used only on your device to avoid duplicates.
Settings and preferences — Distance units (kilometres or miles), light/dark/system appearance, app language (English or Finnish), sports you track (built-in and custom), rolling 7-day goals, Health Connect sync preferences and last successful sync time, and whether you have completed the first-run welcome screen.
Feedback helpers (local only) — A pseudonymous install id used to deduplicate optional product feedback, and counters that control when in-app feedback prompts may appear.
This data is stored only on your device using the device's local storage. It is not sent to our servers or to any third party as part of normal app use. If you uninstall the app or clear its data, this information is removed from your device.
You can export your full workout history at any time from Settings as JSON or CSV via your device's share sheet. You choose where exported files are saved or sent.
Health Connect (Android)
On Android, the app can read exercise sessions from Health Connect (with your permission). Import is optional — you can use the app with manual logging only.
If you use Health Connect import: The app reads exercise session and distance data from Health Connect on your device. Your first import can bring in your exercise history; later imports add only new sessions since your last successful sync. Workouts already saved in the app are not overwritten, including any edits you made after import. Optional historical read access may be requested so older sessions can be imported when Health Connect allows it.
When sync runs: You can import manually from Home or Settings, or turn on automatic sync so new sessions import when you open the app. Sync does not run in the background; the app does not read health data when it is not open.
If you do not use Health Connect: No health data is read from Health Connect.
Health Connect is a Google/Android platform service governed by its own privacy policies. You can revoke Health Connect permissions at any time in your Android or Health Connect settings.
Optional product feedback
The app may ask for optional product feedback — for example, Send quick feedback in Settings or a short rating prompt after you use certain features. Submitting feedback is voluntary; you can dismiss any prompt without sending anything.
If you choose to submit feedback, the app sends a minimal payload to the Busy Days API. The payload may include:
source — identifies this app (training-trends)
promptId — which question was shown
rating — your 1–5 star response
appVersion — the app version (and build, if applicable)
platform — android, ios, or web
locale — your device language setting, if available
installId — a pseudonymous UUID created on your device for deduplication (not tied to your workouts)
comment — optional free text you enter (up to 500 characters)
Feedback submissions do not include your workout history, Health Connect data, name, email address, location, or other health information.
We use feedback only to improve the product. We do not use it for advertising or sell it to third parties. Submissions are stored on Busy Days servers for product triage and may be retained for a reasonable period for that purpose.

Data we do not collect
The app does not:
Collect or store your name, email address, or other account information (no account is required).
Send your workout history or settings to our servers during normal use.
Use analytics or tracking that identifies you across apps or websites.
Use your data for advertising or sell it to third parties.
Third-party services
The app may use services provided by your device or by the platform (e.g. Google Play, Apple App Store) for updates, crash reporting, or store analytics. Those services are governed by their own privacy policies (e.g. Google Play's policies). We do not use your workout data for those services.
When you use Health Connect on Android, that platform handles health data according to Google's policies. When you submit optional product feedback, that submission is handled by the Busy Days API as described above.
Children
The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app is intended for general use. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will address it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy (with a new "Last updated" date) in the app or on a linked page. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy. For significant changes, we may notify you in the app or via the store listing.
